"Disney Cars" pasta

Thanks to Ruchi Mausi, Betu got a box of car shaped pasta few days ago. It was only today that I finally was able to cook it for him and but obviously he was ecstatic.

But after 10 min I was ready to tear my hair out because he would look at each piece for 2 minutes by turning it left and right and only when the full inspection was done that he would eat it. He did this for the first 10 minutes and then I asked him to finish eating it or I shall take it away. Call me a meanie mommy or whatever..I don't care! :D

The alphabet soup!

Anirudh got this lovely packet of alphabet noodles from his Mausi when she came down in March this year. I can put them any soup and he will just lap it away. Not because he loves the soup but because I blackmail him by putting these alphabet noodles which he just cannot resist. :D I hope you can make out those alphabet noodles in the picture.

Yeah yeah! I know I am being a "meanie mommy" but I don't care!

Betu clicked this picture himself. He just wouldn't let me click saying I won't be able to click it good enough. Sigh...what trust the kids have in their parents!

Deciding the food menu!

Recently Anirudh tells me very clearly what he wants to eat and he doesn't like it when I do not make the same thing. His choice varies from Upma to poha, to kakore (pakore) and today in the morning he demanded for 'chhole puri'. Since that requires chhole to be soaked for atleast 6-8 hours I told him I will make it in the evening.

In the evening when I was preparing the chhole, he came and asked me "Aap kya kar rahe ho?" When I told him I'm making chhole puri for you, he, in the most comical way, licks his lips and does a nice big slurp! Hahahaha..

This is a new habit which he has learnt whenever he gets to know of something being cooked or offered which he likes. And it gives me such a pleasure to see him appreciating my cooking!! :D

Umm....Mango achha hai!

Anirudh likes to eat mangoes. But more than that he loves to bite into the guthli (the pod with the seed inside). So every time we will cut a mango, he will look for the guthli in the plate. And once done, he loves the mess on his hands and face. He will laugh and say "Mumma sab chhi chhi ho gaya!"

He also loves to eat ice cream but only the stick ones. So the other day I got him that Moo ice cream (forgot what company it was) and it had spots of chocolate on vanilla like cows have on their skin. But when he eats those stick ice creams I literally have to strip him down to the bare minimum as he eats it very slowly and the icecream melts and drips on everywhere. If you look closely at teh icecream you can see one droplet ready to drop down on the plate he is holding!
